Your Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for the design, development, and validation of mechanical systems for missiles and rocket components. You work across the full hardware development cycle, from concept and CAD design to integration, testing, and qualification in laboratory and field environments, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design and development of mechanical and structural components for missile and rocket systems
• Perform structural analyses using FEM/FEA to support design decisions and verify mechanical integrity
• Design and build mechanical test rigs and experimental setups, including CAD modelling, component selection, and system integration
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, systems, and test engineers
• Support and guide junior engineers and interns

Your Profile:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• Several years of experience in mechanical design and hardware development
• Strong proficiency with CAD tools (preferably Siemens NX)
• Experience with FEM/FEA tools for structural analysis is a plus (ideally using Ansys)
• Structured, independent working style and strong problem-solving skills
• Citizenship of an EU or NATO member state (excluding the United States)
• Fluent in English and German
